Research and Advocacy

Violet’s community resilience program strives from it’s male and female volunteers that dedicate their spare time to contribute to the community’s development. The report was initiated under a BMZ-funded program in partnership with GIZ to reflect on the needs of young people in correlation with Violet’s youth empowerment program.

Assignment

As program leaders, Katharina and Alaa designed tools and managed the data collection, as well as analyzed it through different perspectives, incl. gender, age and volunteer engagement. The research is accompanied by visualization in a Power BI and seeks to inform donors.

Localization Agenda

Violet’s community resilience program is a prime example of working in the nexus through community mobilization. It contributes to the localization agenda by showcasing what locally-led response is possible trhough a well-designed program and the community’s ambition to create positive change.
